It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Aline Clara More (paquette). Aline passed peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 81, at Kingston General Hospital on April 18th, 2024. Daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Paquette. Beloved wife of the late James David More. Dear sister of Patricia Goetz (Richard). Survived by her children, Tim More (Charlene), Jim More (Ronnie), Debbie Lachance (Georges), and Carol Prevost (Hector). Aline was a devoted grandmother to Chad, Jennifer, Sarah, Conner, Jake, Brina, Jarrett, Guy Michel, Julie-ann, Brigitte, Robert, Michael, Tyler, Bradley, Ryan, and grandmother to several great-grandchildren.

Aline was born in the city of Sudbury, Ontario. She is remembered as a great cook at the 707 Dowling Restaurant where she worked for over a decade. She loved to dance and be together with her friends during those years of working at the Dowling Hotel. Her passion was blueberry picking in the summer months with her family, and spending time gardening as she had quite the green thumb. Her fondest memories were to Smelt and Barbutt fish with her parents well into adulthood, and spend summers playing as a child at McFarlane Lake. She loved watching the live music acts of Bobby Gies as Elvis and Larry Gies as Garth Brooks at the Dowling Hotel. She will be remembered as witty, humorous, and loving.

Aline’s ashes will be scattered at MCFARLANE LAKE at a later date. Online condolences at www.directcremationservices.ca
