It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elmer Frank, who was in his 99th year.  Elmer passed away peacefully at his home, in Dowling, surrounded by his loving family and personal caregivers.  Survived by his partner Irene Brown and his sister Hedy Gadsby of Edmonton.  Devoted father of Darrell Frank (Ellen), Faye Pacheco (Tony), Jeff Frank (Greg) and Amber Cholewinsky (Terry).  Beloved Grandfather of Adam, Andrew (Charlotte), Ayla, Nathan, Gina (Jay) Alex and Sarah, and great grandfather to Candence, Ava, Gia, and Olive.  Also left to mourn are a circle of close, long-time friends.

Elmer was a devoted father who loved spending time with his family at his summer camp on Onaping Lake.  He loved puttering around doing odd jobs at his camp, fishing and playing cards.  Elmer lived his last 29 years in Dowling with Irene where they shared many happy memories with both his family and the Day family.  Special mention to his caregivers over the years who doted on both of them. Armande, Bonnie, Joan, Francine, Emanuelle, and the Day Family.  Special thank you to Home and Community care and Hospice care for all their help and compassion.

We ask in lieu of flowers; donations be made to the Maison McCulloch Hospice.

A celebration of life will be held on June 1st , 2024, at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, for a gathering at 10 am with a prayer service at 11:00, followed by a reception.
