I felt like I was. My mom, a few weeks ago, had a talk with me. It sounded like this: “Wah, wah, wah, wha, wahwah. Wahwah, wah, wah wahwahwah wah, wah.”
It went on for quite some time.
I usually understand quite a lot, but I was watching my Betty, the chihuahua, on the show “Will Trent”. Betty is the love of my life.
The conversation did have a different tone to it, but honestly, Betty was my priority at the time.
Then, the unthinkable. Mom never picked me up from Mummu’s. I was confused and then got scared. I waited at the door. I sniffed the bottom crack of the door and could find no “mom scent.”
Mummu was wonderful, as always, but what was happening? I received extra treats, too. I really had no complaints, but where was my mom? When was she coming back? What did I do wrong?
I’m an angel, what could I possibly have done?
Mom returned — from a holiday! She didn’t take me! Can you imagine? I was so relieved and I do understand now. It’s so important to pay attention.
So, I was just wondering, have you ever felt abandoned?
