Sudbury dance studio Dance Evolution raised $2,500 to help send Easter Seals kids to summer camp this year.

Each year, Easter Seals Ontario sends kids with physical disabilities from across the province to accessible and inclusive summer camps at a daily cost of $300 per camper.

The generosity of donors and sponsors like Dance Evolution make it possible for Easter Seals Ontario to subsidize the cost of camp for campers aged 6-18 years old for one session per summer. “We absolutely love the idea of kids supporting kids in our community,” said MJ Pappin, the community development officer for Easter Seals Ontario in Sudbury. “Dance Evolution shares many of the same sentiments Easter Seals embodies such as fostering empowered, confident  young people.

“Raising funds and gifting this opportunity for a child with a physical disability to experience an accessible camp will not only positively impact the camper but it will also impact the lives of the youth dancers who will undoubtedly know their efforts and their kindness makes a difference.”
