In Loving Memory - Lily Anne (Bryant) Bugg (1954 – 2024)
It is with deep sadness we announce that Lily Anne Bugg passed peacefully, Monday, May 6, 2024, in her 70th year. Beloved wife of David Bugg for 48 years. Lily was born Jan. 1, 1954, in Little Current. Daughter of the late Neil & Annie Bryant. Dear sister to Mervyn Bryant (wife Joan) and Gladys Moore (Husband Lorne). Dear beloved mother of Jaclyn Ormerod (Husband Nathan) of Cambridge and Lisa Fletcher (Husband Patrick) of Copper Cliff. She was the loving Nana of Brandon, Liam, Bailey, Zachary, and Kara. Dear Aunt to Roxanne, Tracy, Glen, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Darlene, Christine, Jennifer, and Jeffrey. Predeceased by Matthew, Chris, and Heather. Great Aunt of Cassandra, Jordan, Megan. Great, Great Aunt of her boy Kylar.
Lily was the definition of what it meant to be a nurse. She provided support and love to those who needed it the most. Was selfless and kind, had an enormous heart, and who put others before herself. Being a Nana was one of roles she treasured most. She was a talented artist who loved to knit, draw, paint, and quilt. She shared this love with her grandchildren, especially Kara. The family could always count on getting hats and mitts for Christmas. Lily leaves a legacy of strength and strong family ties. One night I dreamed a dream. As I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me and one to my Lord. After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints. This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. "Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, you would leave me." He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you Never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.
