Carlo was born in Orsago, Treviso in Italy on December 29th 1932. He made his own suitcase and ventured to Sudbury, Ontario, Canada when he was a young man. He met the love of his life, Anita Visentin (predeceased), and they were married in 1958.
He is survived by his 4 loving daughters, Carla (Jeff), Marina (Brent, predeceased), Rosanna and Lisa, and his grandson Reese. He is predeceased by his parents, Emma and Antonio, brothers Ricardo, Damiano, Adamo, sisters Maria and Eva and survived by brother Mario in Italy. Carlo was a life-member of the Caruso Club where he fondly ate, danced and drank. He will be missed by his family, friends, nieces and nephews.
Carlo worked for INCO/VALE for many years as a maintenance mechanic. He also built houses and helped out many friends and family with projects. He was a Mr. Fix it and could fix pretty much anything. He was a passionate gardener, story and joke teller, bocce and card player and even a bit of a cook. Family beach Sundays were vividly memorable.
A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan Rd., Sudbury on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 at 10am. Light lunch to follow. Interment of ashes in the Park Lawn Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Homes.
