Janet was born in Orillia on September 11, 1950 to Walter James Thorburn (deceased) & Edna Bernice Thorburn (nee Barnes). Loving wife of Michael A Newman for over 30 years. Dear sister to Judy Tordiff (Bruce). Daughter-in-law of Patricia Newman (Michael deceased). Sister-in-law to Mary Moylan (Garry), Colleen Daciuk (Victor), Lara Foucault (Don), & Peter Newman (Liz) all of Capreol; Patrice Wolfe (Steve) of Windsor; Andrea Bedard (Greg) of Sudbury. Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Janet loved reading, gardening, travelling with Michael, and caring for her furry friends (Odyssey and Bambie).
Donations in Janet's memory can be made to the SPCA. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.
