THERRIEN, Marguerite (née Rochon)


It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing in Sudbury, on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the age of 89 years.

Daughter of the late Josephus and late Rose Anna (née Viau) Rochon. Beloved wife of the late Normand Therrien who passed away in 2010. Loving mother of Donald (Susan) of Sudbury, Jocelyne (Yvon) of Gatineau, Qc, Hélène of St-André Avellin, Qc, Michel (Jacqueline) of Sudbury and Daniel (Maria) of Warren. Predeceased by her two brothers Louis and Isidore, and by her seven sisters Florida, Marie-Jeanne, Noëlla, Yvonne, Irène, Rita and Emma.

Cherished grandmother of Sophie, Jenelle, Justin (Anusha), Benoît (Marie-Eve), Camille, Katérie (Léandre), Kevin, Jasmine (Curtis), Joël (Britanny) and great-grandmother of Rylea, Hudson, Winston, Noah, Mila and Téo. She will be sadly missed by her sons, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but also by many nieces and nephews. Marguerite had a full life for which she was most thankful.  She liked to travel and sing and dance.

 The family would like to thank Colleen and all of the staff at Pioneer Manor (Cranberry Wing) for their kind and compassionate care.

 The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury, on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 1-2 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by cheque or online to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
