LALONDE, Germain

(1945 – 2024)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Germain Lalonde, in Sudbury, Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the age of 78 years. Son of the late Paul and Irene Lalonde. Husband of the late Donna Myre (née Lamb.) Loving father of Micheline Lalonde(David), Pauline Renaud (Phil) and Mike Myre (Debie). Germain will be affectionately remembered by his grandchildren Kyle(Angela), Courtney(Jim), Danielle(Cody), and Eric as well as great-grandchildren Ayden, Dustin, Malika, Emily, Luca, Nikolas, and the late Destiny. Brother of Roger (late Eugenie) and Lionel (Adrienne). Brother-in-law of Ron Lamb (Barb) as well as loving companion to Lina.

Germain proudly served his community of Valley East as an electrician with the department of Public Works. He valued hard work, family and great friends.

A funeral will be held at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville, May 2, 2024, at 10:00am. Luncheon to follow at the Club Age d’or in Hanmer.

Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes in lieu of flowers.
