It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Mary Maria (Bolochan) Arseni, who left this world at 95 years of age on Thursday evening, June 10th, 2021 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Her beloved late husband Michael Arseni predeceased in 1986 and Mary are now reunited in heaven together with the good God we serve. They had a great love of pets and Twinkle and Chewie and all the fur babies they shared are with them in heaven too. Loving mother of Mary Anne. Cherished grandmother of Kyle (Melissa). Dear great grandmother of Kyra (Jason) and Mackayla.
Born in Poland in 1926, Mary immigrated to Saskatchewan, Canada then settled to work for the McLeod family, whom she adored, in the town of Sudbury, Ontario. Mary then worked at the Regent theatre and hotel Frontenac for many years. Michael and Mary were married on June 14th, 1952 and both were members of St Volodymyr's Greek Orthodox Church. They enjoyed the company and many wonderful memories with their friends that were couples within their Ukrainian circle. A wonderful blessing to both Mary and Michael was their cottage on Lake Penage. That was the time together they treasured the most. They had many beautiful memories on Lake Penage. Mary enjoyed the travel and vacations that Michael had taken such time to plan, and they traveled with their daughter Mary-Anne, building some very rich memories.
Mary was a proud person who loved being with her family. She was a very intelligent woman whose company was always very soothing. She was a simple lady who wanted everyone to be okay. She had a big strong heart. Mary was an inspiration to her whole family and will forever be remembered and loved dearly. “We love you, Nanny”
