On Sunday, May 16, Paul Joseph Byers of Sudbury passed away at the age of 83 years. Following a brief illness, Paul died peacefully at Health Sciences North surrounded by loved ones.
Paul will be lovingly remembered by his sister Jaqueline; brother Denis and wife Jean; brother Michael and wife Bonnie; brother Tim and wife Lori; as well as many relatives, and friends. “Uncle Paul” will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and their children.
He was preceded in death by parents Alice and Gordon; brother Ron and wife Dorothy; and brother in-law Morley.
Born in Schumacher, Ontario, Paul always had a twinkle in his eye and a warm smile. Retiring from Bristol Machinery, he spent many years at his cottage on Long Lake. Paul will be remembered for his quiet and dry sense of humor, his acceptance of others, and his kind and gentle approach to life.
A special thank you to those at HSN and the staff at Amberwood Suites where he lived for the past five years where he made many great friends.
