A death in the French River area is under investigation.
Provincial police say emergency services were dispatched to a residence on Delamere Road at 7 a.m. April 30, and a 44-year-old was located deceased.
The Nipissing West OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) is conducting an investigation, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
The investigation is continuing, and further updates will be provided when available, said a press release from the OPP.
There is no threat to public safety at this time and residents of the area should expect to see an increased police presence.
