At 2 a.m. Nov. 1, clocks are turned back one hour. Sunrise and sunset will be about one hour earlier Nov. 1 than the day before, so there will be more light in the morning.
People typically remember which way to turn their clocks in the spring and fall with the adage: “spring forward, fall back.”
