COVID outbreaks at 4 different Sudbury schools, bus cancellations impacting some 40 routes

There are 40 active cases of COVID-19 in local JK-12 schools

COVID-19 outbreaks have been declared at four different schools in Greater Sudbury over the weekend, and Sudbury Student Services Consortium is announcing numerous bus cancellations resulting from the impacts of the virus.

Rainbow District School Board has announced outbreaks at Redwood Acres Public School (where five students have tested positive for COVID) and at Sudbury Secondary School (where two students have tested positive). Both schools remain open.

Sudbury Catholic District School Board has announced outbreaks at St. Anne Catholic Elementary School (where there are five confirmed cases) and at Holy Trinity Catholic Elementary School (where there are six confirmed cases). Both of those schools also remain open.

There are 40 active cases of COVID-19 in local JK-12 schools.

Sudbury Student Services Consortium has also announced the cancellation of numerous bus routes either due to a driver shortage or COVID-19 exposures. There are around 40 active bus route cancellations in total.
