The search for a missing Sudbury man has ended tragically today.

Greater Sudbury Police announced this morning that a 26-year-old man named Sheldon (the last names of missing people aren't released by GSPS) was located June 23. He is deceased.

The man was declared missing on June 3.

"Unfortunately, 26 y/o Sheldon has been located deceased. At this time foul play is not suspected," GSPS said. "Our condolences go out to his family and friends. Thank you to members of the public that called in tips during this investigation."

When he was first declared missing, GSPS said Sheldon was driving a blue, two-door Subaru sedan with gold rims. In an update on June 22, police said he was no longer driving the Subaru and was instead driving a silver GMC Terrain.

This morning at 9:37 a.m., police tweeted that Sheldon had been located deceased. The police service said officers located the SUV in the area of Lasalle Boulevard and Barrydowne Road. The man's body was located inside the vehicle.
